Bicycle Rally organized on World Bicycle Dayat GGM Science College

Jammu, Jun 3: NSS unit II GGM Science College under the patronage of worthy Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan celebrated World Bicycle Day under the aegis of MISSION LIFE G 20. 20 NSS volunteers participated in the Cyclefor Change Fit India Freedom Rider Cycle Rally. The rally was inaugurated by the Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Vice Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Vermaand NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan. NSS volunteers rodesmart bicyclesin the Cycling trackof the college campus covering approx. 6 kmeach.
The theme for World Bicycle Day 2023 is "Riding Together for a Sustainable Future."The aim is to encourage and motivate people to take up and adopt cycling in their daily lives for physical fitness activities. By adopting Cycling by common citizens will also facilitate in reducing carbon footprints.
The volunteers raised slogans to make the general public aware Save the planet Ride a cycle, Be fit Go green, Ride freelive Fit, Burn fat not oil adopt a bicycle. The Principal app-reciated the efforts of NSS team PO & NSS Volunteers. The event was coordinated by Himanshu Sharma & Divyansh Nadh.
