Jammu, Jun 3: The District Congress Comm-ittee Jammu (Urban) on Saturday held monthly meeting at the Congress office at Shaheedi Chowk to discuss important matters. The meeting was presided over by JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla and organized by District Jammu Urban Incharge Yogesh Sawhney and District Jammu Rural President Hari Singh Chib. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Sewadal Chief Vijay Sharma Babbi, Refugee Cell Congress Chairman Amrit Bali, Sarish Sharma, Pawan Dev Singh, Pardeep Bhalla, Varinder Manhas, Satpal Spolia, Sandeep Dogra, Vijay Malhotra, Parveen Singh, Ram Parkash Ma-gotra, Sudar Singh, Munish Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Nagarhwar Narayan, Jati-nder Singh, Balbir Kumar, Varinder Singh, Jugal Kis-hor, Rajesh Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Yash Pal Sangral, Anil Kumar, Mohd. Riyaz, Gulshan Kumar, Duwan Chand, Darshan Lal Verma besides others.
At the outset of meeting, Bhalla along with other senior leaders sharply criticized the central government over the Coromandel train accident claiming nearly 288 precious lives so far and injuries to hundreds others while demanding the resignation of Railway Minister. The visuals are heart-wrenching and the Prime Minister bears a considerable amount of respo-nsibility. Our heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured and if there remains a semblance of conscience, the Railway Minister should resign, they said. The Modi government boasts of the Vande Bharat trains and newly constructed railway stations, hastily inaugurating projects to bolster political support by misleading the public. They slammed BJP-led central government for neglecting the maintenance of trains and railway tracks.
Hitting hard the BJP and its state leadership for cheating the people of Jammu, JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today said that the BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal after betrayal.Former Minister took a dig at BJP leadership for celebrating nine years, nine deceits and a failed government in order to highlight the failures and performance of the Modi Government on various fronts, including economy, foreign policy, communal harmony, inflation, farmers' income, national security, welfare for the Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes, and other backward classes.
Bhalla alleged nine years of BJP rule has made the country miserable. The countrymen have only seen the scene of devastation in nine years. The BJP government has thrown the country into devastation. He said that "deteriorating economic condition and rising unemployment" have bec-ome the most pressing problems before the nation. Bhalla said it is time for us to stand in the name of humanity against ideas of divisiveness and nefarious designs of perpetuating identity-based hatred by destructive forces in order to save this nation.
