Public outreach cum grievances redressal camp held at Town Hall Ramnagar

UDHAMPUR, Jun 7: To listen to the issues and demands of the public, a public outreach cum grievances redressal camp was conducted by Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya here in the Town Hall Ramn-agar. BDC, Ramnagar, Des Raj; DDC, Ramnagar-I, Mool Raj; SSP, Udhampur, Dr Vinod Kumar; SDM, Ramnagar, Shishir Gupta, Councillors, and other district and tehsil heads of line departments attended the camp. The camp witnessed overwhelming participation of BDCs, DDCs besides Sarpanches, Panches and the general public of the area. They apprised the DC about a range of issues pertaining to their areas and sought adequate drinking water supply, Maintenance of the PMGSY & PWD roads, Check on drug menace, filling up of vacant posts in health and educational institutions, Up-gradation of GHS, Sunetar & Kaghote, Sports Stadium at Kaghote, restoration of Ultrasound & x-ray mach-ine in SDH Ramnagar, Construction of Boundary wall of Sports Stadium, posting of adequate staff in Batyari Animal Husbandry sub centre, construction of double lane Ramnagar -Udhampur & Dudu, Sudh-mahadev road.
Responding to the demands, the DC informed the public that the work of Kunju Nallah road will be started within a week time and assured that the repair of Ramnagar Udhampur would also be started in the first week of July.
The DC directed the Executive Engineer PMGSY to start the repair work of all the roads pertaining to the department. Further, the EO, Municipal Commi-ttee, Ramnagar was asked to open all the locked bathrooms in the town as complained by the locals.
He also informed about the beautification plan formulated for Ramnagar and Chennai towns. Later, the DC also visited SDH, Ramnagar and interacted with doctors. The DC sanctioned Rs 12 lakh for the installation of an X-Ray machine in the Hospital.
