Alexander Memorial School, Jammu celebrates Teachers Day

JAMMU: Alexander Memorial School, Jammu celebrated the Teachers Day in a unique manner on 3rd September 2015. Mr. Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East, was the chief guest and Mr. I.D Soni State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides, was the guest of honour. Rev. Udai Singh, Presbyter-in-charge St. Paul's Church, members of Managing Committee and several other dignitaries also graced the occasion.
The principal, Mrs. Esther William, received the chief guest and other distinguished guests. She congratulated the teachers on such a solemn occasion and asked both the teaching and taught community to imbibe the teaching of Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishnan as well as Dr. Abdul Kalam. She said this year the teachers day was dedicated to thr Secular life style of Dr. Abdul kalam. After the customary bouquet presentation and lightning of the lamp, the programme started with a word of prayer by Rev. Udai Singh followed by welcome address by the principal.
Chief Guest gave away some prizes and also addressed the audience. In this brief but inspiring speech, he lauded the performance of the students and impressed upon them the need to preserve and strengthen our socio-cultural heritage and 'Guru-Shish Parampara'.The whole programme was compered by Mr.S.K.Munshi,School Coordinator and the vote of thanks was presented by Mrs.Rajni Kaul. Prominent among those who accompanied MLA Rajesh Gupta are Karan Singh, Gulshan Mahajan, Pardeep Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Dali, Chaman lal, Raj kumar, Surinder Anand, Charanjeet, Jagjeevan, Kanav and Rajesh Nischal.
