JAMMU, Mar 8: The Radha Soami Satsang Beas' Head and spiritual Master (Guru) Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon while delivering his spiritual discourse to lakhs of devotees said religions don't teach hatred, as aim of all religions in God's realization. He quoted Iqbal saying "Mazhab nahi sikhata apas main bair rakhna".
Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon was in Jammu at their Najwal (Thandi Khui) centre since Monday and his visit ended Wednesday evening.
Baba Gurinder Singh ji (addressed as Baba ji) the spiritual Guru- the Master of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Sect showered nectar of his discourse on lakhs of disciples in Jammu today.
The congregation was one of the biggest congregations of J&K where a sea of humanity could be seen in their satsang Centres which according to the figures of sources are more than two lakhs, which is an annual feature.
The Radha Soami Satsang Beas congregation is one of the finest examples of crowd management, traffic management and the entire show is run and managed by their volunteers (called Sewadars) who come from Jammu, Kathua, Reasi, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur and other States from Punjab, HP and Uttarakhand. They work day and night in their dedicated and selfless sewa - cooking foods for lakhs of people called the langer which is offered free to everyone without any caste, colour, creed religion etc and volunteers also run a canteen where the snacks, tea, fritters etc are served. Then the centre also houses a fruits, packed juice and sweet bread counters for thousands of the devotees sole on no profit basis.
The disciple and dedication of the sewadars and their love for their Guru is evident from the fact that they come on "Jatha" basis and stay there fro several days to ensure the comforts of the sangat which is the sole way to please their Guru and seek his benign blessings. This grand congregation was very well managed, exemplary and unique. The distinct feature was the discipline maintained by the volunteers or the Sewadars and the love and compassion of the Sewadars in handling the Sangat. In such a huge gathering there was proper discipline of parking vehicles, traffic flow, sitting arrangements, water and other basic utilities. The blend of love, faith and Master's grace was evident from the grand satsang.
Right from Jammu City, to Railway Station and to National Highway on the entire road there was Radha Soami Sewadars (Volunteers) doing their sewa (voluntary service) for the people and managed the traffic as well as facilitated the visiting disciples.
A sight to behold when a sea of humanity coming for the sating and even coming out of the satsang pandaal and moves in discipline and absolute smooth way without any chaos of jam. Despite the fact that the Jammu - Samba road is under construction due to four laning and lakhs of vehicles moving towards the Thandi Khui (Najwal) satsang Centre, there was no jam at all owing to the perfect planning, coordination and dedicated sewa of the traffic sewadars who could be seen regulating the traffic and making vehicles move in their fluorescent Gillettes.
On Monday (6th march 2023) Baba ji had reached this spiritual centre at Samba of the Jammu Division and on the next date there was a question and answer and session and shabad (hymns) recitation Thereafter he showered his grace by his darshan in an open car, which was driven on the tracks amidst lakhs of disciples after the Satsang. Shabad (hymns) recitation was done by young seekers and question - answer sessions was for the youth (boys and girls) and adults who asked variety of questions ranging from spiritual to physical and personal issues..
OnWednesday (8.3.2023) Baba ji himself showered his grace by delivering a satsang to disciples which according to official figures touched about 2 lakhs people from all over the UT of J&K and neighbouring states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana etc.
While delivering the spiritual discourse, Babaji took the ghazal - "Dil Ka Hujra Saaf kar, jaana ke aane ke liye" by Tulsi Sahab, who was one of the teachers of Swami ji the founder of Radha Swami Sect, and explained to the disciples in Hindi that this verse is from a ghazal where Tulsi Sahab (now Tulsi Dass who write Ramayana) but Tulsai Sahab who was also called as Dakhni Baba and later in his life settled in Hathras. The Master explained the intent of the verse as to how to cleanse the vessel of the heart. He exhorted the disciples to understand as why the human species is called the top of the creation. He said that Tulsi sahab wanted to explain. The concept of spirituality to Sheikh Taki whose tentament was near his shanty and therefore he explained it in the langue Sheikh Taki could easily understand quoting the Holy Quran.
He said that the vessel of the heart needs to be cleansed for the Lord (beloved) can enter that gate. For the cleaning of the heart and mind, the Simran and bhajan or the meditation is to be adopted so that the focus shifts from the wordily affairs to the inner process.
Baba ji explained by citing an example that if a student seek admission in the school, but does not attend classes or study regularly will he pass. Merely if he touches the steps of the school or feet of his teachers , or takes a round of the school he won't pass. For that he will have to put effort and work hard based on the teachings. Likewise, if a disciple want to be successful on the spiritual path, he will have to follow the teachings of the Master and put his effort into the bhajan- Simran (meditation).
Then he explained that the sound current which is called "shabad" in Punjabi is the same which is called "word" in English and "naada" in Hindi and therefore this Shabad is to be focussed upon in order to cross from the sea of Maya.Therefore he asked the disciples to attend to regular meditation and naam bhakti though the spiritual way taught by the master.
He said that there was different names but the essence is one, like some call it as Sushmna, some call it "shah rag" and others call its highway but all the names in different languages refer to one one thing that how to and where to focus and channelize during meditation.
He also explained that the body is the temple of God and said "mandir" means "mann ke ander", which with time became mandir likewise Guru ka dwara with time was referred as "Gurudwara". He said that the Almighty is inside the human body in the form of spirit and that spirit is to be respected and the food of meditation and hearing of sound current to be fed to the should.
Baba ji exhorted upon the disciples to follow the righteous path of love, tolerance and compassion. He asked the followers to practice Bhajan and Simran to control the mind and its cults so that the final goal of salvation is reached.He said that the soul has to move upwards through the "Royal Highway" which is also called sushmna, towards its real destination to where it belongs and the medium to reach there is the meditation or the bhajan and simran through Naam.
He said that the internal spiritual music is coming from the Lord and different religions call it differently. Some call it "Baag e Illahi or Ban e aasmani", some call it the "music of the sphere" and some call it "Naad" or the "Shabad"." All these are descriptive names but the true essence is one.
He explained that the Mystics have come here in human forth to uplift us and pull us out from the misery and slavery of the mind and its cults. He also gave examples of a jail where the inmates are given cold water and good clothes by one kind person but another kind person comes with key of the jail to get them realised, now who is better- the former or the latter? therefore he taught the lesson for life as to how to realize the Lord through meditation and through the power of Naam.
He also recited several beautiful lines of Tulsi Sahib saying ...Aa rahe dhur se sada tere bulane ke liye...
He explained these lines in context of that the sound or the music is coming from the Lord to call up , to wake up and take you with him, so prepare yourself for the mystical journey of the soul to the realms beyond the body and mind.
The eternal light and sound need to be followed while treading on the path to find the radiant form of the Master inside.
He said that the only solution to this misery and domination of the mind over the soul is Bhajan Simran. It is only by the means and mode of meditation and love that the Mystics shower their grace but only if we tread on the true path of the Lord.
As per sources many people from several walks of life visited for the darshan and meetings with Baba ji who included DGP Mr Dilbagh Singh, Mr Jugal Kishore MP, Mr D C Raina Advocate General J&K, BJP leaders comprising of Ravinder Raina President State BJP, Kavinder Gupta, ex Dy CM, D K Manyal, Sukhnandan Choudary, C P Ganga, Surjeet Singh Slathia, Davinder Raina -Gharu Ram ( ex MLA) and ex Ministers T S Bajwa Ex MP and Keshav Dutt - Chairman DDC Samba besides many others from administration, Police, Judiciary and businessmen.
