Shaleen Kabra presides over mega public outreach programme at Dudu
Asks officers to resolve public issues, concerns on priority

UDHAMPUR, Feb 10: As part of UT administration's public outreach initiative, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jal Shakti Depart-ment, Shaleen Kabra, today presided over a mega public outreach programme at Dudu panchayat, Udham-pur. The event served as a platform for addressing grievances and demands raised by the local populace.
The programme witnes-sed enthusiastic participation from DDC members, former PRI members & the general public representing various regions.
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Saloni Rai, Mission Director, JJM, Dr. G N Itoo, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti, Chief Engineer I&FC Department, Manoj Gupta, SSP, Joginder Singh, Additional District Develo-pment Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, DDC member Latti-Marothi, Pinky Devi, DDC member Narsoor, Subash Chander and other senior officers were present in the programme. Diffe-rent government departments like Agriculture, Ho-rticulture, Health, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husb-andry, Social Welfare, Han-dicraft, Handloom and others had set up awareness stalls regarding their respe-ctive schemes. The Addit-ional Chief Secretary along with Deputy Commissioner inspected the stalls and interacted with the officers and reviewed progress on their schemes on ground.
During interaction with the public and former PRI members, several issues and demands were raised, including opening of a Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Dudu, construction of roads, forest clearance, establishment of PHE guest house, infrastructure development for religious sites, staff shortages in educational & health institutions & recruitment drives for youth employment.
Appreciating the natural beauty and tourism potential of the region, Shaleen Kabra emphasized the need for sustainable development and transparent recruitment processes to address the demands effectively.
He acknowledged the efforts of the local community in maintaining cleanliness & assured them of the government's commitment towards resolving their grievances promptly.
ACS reiterated government's dedication towards ensuring access to basic facilities and services for all citizens, emphasizing the importance of schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission in providing clean water connections to every household. He underscored the role of local communities and water committees in ensuring the quality and maintenance of water resources at the village level.
