PDP is ‘C’ team of BJP: Omar

SRINAGAR, Apr 23: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on Tuesday called Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a proxy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kashmir.
Reacting to the statement made by the BJP leader Mushtaq Bukhari in which he openly said that his party is supporting PDP in the ensuing Lok Sabha election, Omar said that "It is now clear that besides A team, B team now PDP is C team of BJP".
"As I understood, Mehbooba Mufti will now put some pressure on BJP to get the statement of Bukhari changed", the NC Vice President told media persons in south Kashmir's Kokernag.
The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said BJP's A and B team are participating in meetings with its leader Tarun Chugh during the night, and now the PDP is C team of BJP.
He said right from the day one National Conference was saying if we have to defeat BJP and those sectarian forces who are trying to spread venom in the whole country, the People of Jammu and Kashmir should vote only for INDIA alliance during the Lok Sabha elections.
"Vote National Conference candidates in three Kashmir Parliament seats and Congress in two Jammu seats", Omar said and added "the others are connected in one or the other way with the BJP".
