SIA searches 11 Kashmir locations in migrant labourer killing case

SRINAGAR, May 14: Jammu and Kashmir Police's State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday conducted searches at 11 locations in South Kashmir districts in connection with investigations into the killing of a migrant worker last month, officials said.
SIA officials said the searches were carried in three districts of Anantnag, Kulgam and Shopian during early hours.
These searches were conducted by SIA in connection with ongoing investigation pertaining to the killing of non local street vendor Raja Sah on April 17 at Jablipota, Bijbehara Anantnag to ascertain larger criminal conspiracy behind this killing, they added.
The case was initially registered in Police Station Bijbehara and subsequently it was transferred to the SIA Kashmir for further investigations.
"During searches various articles including mobile phones, electronic gadgets and documents relevant to the ongoing investigation have been seized in the case which shall be forensically examined and analysed during investigation in the case," the SIA officials said.
