Army Chief reviews operational readiness along LoC, lauds troops

JAMMU, Jul 3: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, on his maiden visit to the Jammu and Kashmir after taking over the charge, on Wednesday reviewed operational preparedness along the Line of Control.
The COAS also lauded the troops deployed along the border.
An official said that the General Upendra Dwivedi alongwith Army Commander visited the forward locations of White Knight Corps and reviewed the security situation along the Line of Control.
The Army Chief was briefed on the operational preparedness by the Commanders on ground.
He lauded all ranks for maintaining high standards of professionalism and exhorted them to remain steadfast to meet all current and emerging security challenges.
