GOC Chinar Corp reviews counter terrorism grid in South Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Jul 9: Days after two major anti-militancy operations in Kulgam district that led to the killing of six militants, General officer Commanding (GOC) of Army's strategic Srinagar based Chinar Corp Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai reviewed the counter terrorism grid in south Kashmir on Tuesday.
Lt Gen Ghai complimented the troops for their meticulous planning and execution during the operations at Modargham and Chinigam in Kulgam district on July 6-7 where six Hizbul Mujahideen militants were eliminated and war-like stores were recovered.
Two soldiers, including a para commando were also killed during the two encounters.
In a post on X Army said, Chinar Corps Commander visited Rashtriya Rifles Battalions deployed in Counter Terrorism Grid in South Kashmir to review the security situation.
He complimented the troops for their meticulous planning and execution of Operation Modargham and Chinigam in Kulgam on July 6-7 where six terrorists were eliminated and war-like stores were recovered.
Chinar Corps has pledged to stand by its commitment to keep Kashmir terror-free, Army said on X.
