Terrorism will swallow Pakistan one day

15/05/2025
In the volatile landscape of South Asia, Pakistan has long been a nation marred by its complicated and troubling relationship with terrorism. Over the last 70-75 years, since its formation, Pakistan has repeatedly been accused of sowing the seeds of extremism, not just within its own borders but also exporting this poison to its neighbours. The world has witnessed, with growing alarm, the shamelessness with which Pakistan's leaders and military officers have participated in the funerals of known terrorists, bestowing them with honour and legitimacy, instead of condemnation and justice. This behaviour is not just a reflection of poor judgment-it is the sign of a failed state. Pakistan has repeatedly told the world the story of its own failure: a nation unable or unwilling to break free from the toxic embrace of terrorism. For decades, international forums have provided ample evidence of Pakistan's support for terror groups, yet the leadership in Islamabad continues to turn a blind eye, if not outright endorse these elements. The evidence is irrefutable. Instead of acting responsibly, Pakistan has chosen to walk the dangerous path of nurturing and protecting those who only know the language of violence.
The world must remember that those who raise venomous snakes in their backyard will one day be bitten themselves. Terrorism is not a tool that can be wielded with impunity; it is a fire that eventually engulfs its master. The attacks and chaos that have repeatedly struck Pakistani soil in recent years are testament to this fact. The same terror networks once considered "strategic assets" are now the greatest threat to Pakistan's own stability and future. India, as a responsible democracy, has always maintained its commitment to peace and security in the region. But there is a limit to patience. The government of India has provided irrefutable evidence to the international community, exposing Pakistan's duplicity. Yet, Pakistan's actions remain unchanged. It is in this context that 'Operation Sindoor' was launched-a decisive response to the repeated provocations and attacks orchestrated from across the border. On the first day of the operation itself, more than 100 terrorists and their family members-those directly responsible for nurturing and perpetrating acts of terror-were brought to justice. This was not just a military action, but a statement: India will protect its honour and dignity, and will not allow terrorism to dictate terms.
Pakistan must understand that the path it has chosen is self-destructive. The very forces it nurtures today will one day swallow the nation whole, leaving behind nothing but chaos and ruin. The world watches, and history will judge. It is time for Pakistan to choose peace over terror, before it is too late-for itself, for the region, and for the world.
