18/06/2025
Lt. Governor, Mr. Manoj Sinha, laid the foundation stone for a grand auditorium at Government Higher Secondary School, Guraha Salathia, marking a significant milestone in his tenure. The auditorium, designed with a seating capacity of 500, is part of a larger initiative to upgrade the school's infrastructure. Additionally, the school is set to get a modern sports stadium with world-class facilities, encouraging sports activities among students and the local community.
Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha acknowledged that this project was made possible due to the generous support of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the spiritual guru of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB). Mr. Sinha recalled that during his visit to Guraha Salathia in February 2025, students and local residents had appealed for better sports infrastructure. He had then promised to fulfill their request at the earliest.
In line with this commitment, the Lt. Governor met Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon at the RSSB Jammu Centre, Thandi Khui, during Baba Ji's spiritual visit to Jammu on 5th and 6th April 2025. Responding positively to the request, Baba Ji graciously agreed to fully support the project, assuring that all funds and facilities required would be provided as per the government's demand.
Following this, chief engineers from the Dera visited the school site along with the local administration, including the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Deputy Commissioner Samba. The Deputy Commissioner took personal interest in ensuring that the long-cherished dream of the residents of Guraha Salathia would soon become reality.
Mr. Subash Sharma, Area Secretary of RSSB Jammu, emphasized that the organization would wholeheartedly support any request from Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, as per Baba Ji's instructions. The foundation ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the local MLA Mr. Surjeet Singh Salathia.
The Lt. Governor praised Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon's continued support for public welfare. It was recalled that Baba Ji had extended invaluable help during the COVID-19 crisis, the Leh disaster, and the Jhelum River floods, including a Rs. 1 crore contribution. The present project aims to complete the auditorium and stadium within a year, under the blessings of Baba Ji, who inspires everyone to serve humanity and spread goodness.
