Rifleman injured in accidental firing incident in Baramulla

Srinagar, Jul 3: A rifleman of the Indian Army sustained a gunshot injury in Baramulla district last night, after his weapon accidentally misfired, officials said.
They said the soldier suffered a gunshot wound to his right foot due to the misfire. The incident occurred during a night ambush laid by Army near Butapatri.
The soldier was immediately provided first aid and later evacuated to the Army's 92 Base hospital for advanced medical care.
His condition is reported to be stable, officials said.
