Malik’s arrest has exposed AAP-NC’s pro-Pak agenda: Tarun Chugh

Jammu, Sep 15: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh & Prabhari for J&K BJP, said that the anti-national face of the Aam Aadmi Party in Jammu and Kashmir has been fully unmasked with the arrest of AAP's lone MLA Mehraj Malik, under the Public Safety Act.
Chugh said the dossier submitted by the state government has clearly established that Malik was engaged in disruptive and unlawful activities that sought to generate anti-national sentiments.
He added that Malik, backed by the Abdullah-led National Conference, represents the dangerous alignment of forces in J&K that have repeatedly compromised India's security.
"The Abdullahs have always pandered to separatist tendencies, and now by extending political support to AAP's MLA, they have exposed their willingness to join hands with a party that has been caught red-handed aligning with Pakistan-sponsored disruptive elements," Chugh said.
Chugh pointed out that AAP's dubious record is not new-whether in Delhi, Punjab, or now in J&K, the party has consistently relied on confrontation, unlawful means, and anarchic politics. "In Punjab, AAP leaders have had reported links with Pak-backed extremist networks. In Delhi, they have reduced governance to street-level hooliganism. And in J&K, their MLA has now been booked under PSA for activities prejudicial to national security," Chugh added.
Referring to Operation Sindoor, Chugh said Malik openly threatened government officials and attempted to obstruct security operations. "Multiple FIRs against Malik prove beyond doubt that he was not acting as a responsible legislator but as a habitual offender with an anti-national streak. This is exactly why the administration had no option but to detain him under PSA," Chugh said. The BJP leader said that AAP and NC together are trying to run a "Pro-Pak agenda" in J&K, but people have seen through their design. "This unholy alliance of anarchists and separatist sympathisers stands thoroughly exposed.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir want peace, progress, and development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, not the politics of disruption and anti-national collusion that AAP and NC represent," Chugh asserted.
