High Court orders major promotions in Administrative Cadre

Jammu, Jan 23: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Thursday ordered a series of promotions across its adm-inistrative cadre, following the recommendations of the Hon'ble Committee for Appointment and Pro-motion of High Court staff, duly approved by Hon'ble the Chief Justice.
As per Order No. 92 of 2026/RG/NG dated January 23, 2026, Shri Ajay Kumar, Additional Registrar (Administration), has been promoted as Registrar in Pay Level-13A against an available vacancy.
In another significant decision, S/Shri Daleep Kumar Razdan and Shahji Bhat, Assistant Registrars-I, have been promoted as Deputy Registrars in Pay Level-11.
S/Shri Asima Iliyas Chesti, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani and Nazir Ahmad Ganai have been promoted to Assistant Registrar-I in Pay Level-8A, while S/Shri Pawan Kumar, Molvi Mehboob Hussain, Abid Majeed, Ms. Naseema Mattoo and Suhail Ahmad Bhat have been elevated as Assistant Registrar-I in Pay Level-8.
Further, Shri Salim Rashid Rather, Court Officer, has been promoted as Section Officer. Several Head Assistants-Sheikh Dawood, Abdul Rouf and Dalbir Singh Pathania-have also been promoted as Section Officers, while Naziya Nazir and Murtaza Ahmad Qureshi have been elevated as Court Officers.
The order also includes large-scale promotions of Junior Assistants as Senior Assistants, Ushers and other staff as Junior Assistants, and Shri Mohd Maqbool, Usher-I, as Junior Assistant against an available vacancy.
The Registrar General clarified that all promoted officers and officials shall continue to work at their present places of posting until further orders. The order has been issued by Registrar General M.K. Sharma and circulated to all concerned authorities for information and compliance.
