84 Prosecution Officers transferred

Jammu, Apr 1: The Govern-ment of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered a major reshuffle in the Prosecution Department, transferring & posting 84 officers across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 196-Home of 2026 issued by the Home Department, the transfers span multiple ranks including Director, Deputy Director, Senior Prosecuting Officers (Sr. PO) and Prosecuting Officers (PO).
Key Transfers and Postings
Laeeq Ahmad Dar has been posted as Director Prosecution at PHQ, J&K, while Sunita Kargotra has been appointed Director Prosecution Jammu.
Among Deputy Directors, Harminder Singh has been directed to await further orders in the Home Department. Suresh Kumar has been posted as DDP Udhampur with additional charge of Ramban, while Aijaz Hussain has been posted as DDP Pulwama and Devinder Paul Singh as DDP Kathua.
Mohammad Maqbool Shah has been posted as DDP Ganderbal, Vikrant Sharma as DDP Doda, and Gh. Jeelani Dar as DDP Anantnag. MumtazSaleem Mir has been posted as DDP Baramulla, while Jawaid Ahmad Khawaja has been posted in the office of Director Prosecution Jammu.
Abdul MajidBhat has been posted as DDP Budgam, Kishore Kumar Bandral as DDP Rajouri, and Shaheen Ahmad Khan as DDP Shopian with additional charge of Kulgam. Rajesh Gill has been posted as DDP Jammu, while Ranjit Bahadur Bandral has been posted as DDP Samba.
Ajay Kumar has been posted as DDP Kishtwar, Mohammad SaleemWani as DDP Bandipora, Vijay Sudan as DDP Poonch, and Anil Kumar Gangotra as DDP Reasi. Syed Jahangir Ahmad has been posted as DDP Kupwara.
Among Senior Prosecuting Officers, Ankush Sharma has been posted at PHQ, Shahzad Ahmad Yatoo to Srinagar, Altaf Hussain to Jammu, Rukhsar Ahmad to Doda, Abilasha to the office of Director General Prosecution, and Revikant Sambyal to Udhampur.
TanveerAnjum has been posted to Ramban, while Nighat Meharban, Sheetal Razdan, IeshanBasotra, Muzamil Jan, Syed Urfa Aijaz, Ufaq Mushtaq, Abaidullah, Tabeen, and Tanveer Ahmad Najar have been assigned to respective district prosecution offices with additional responsibilities.
Deputation to Police Department
The order further states that several officers have been deputed to the Police Department, including Rajesh Bakshi, Ranjeev Kumar, Mohammad Rafiq, Sheikh Tanveer Rasool, Gurjot Kour, Yougesh Bamba, Pooja Nijhon, Rohini Manhas, Shahid Mustafa, Rajeev Thappa, Ashwani Kumar, Riyaz Ahmad, Mohd Ajmal, Mohd Shafi Baba, Khursheed Ahmad, Mehjraj-ud-Din, Aamir Rahim, Mustafa Riaz Khan, Danish Gull, Manzoor Ahmad Sofi, Javid Ahmad Sheikh, Shalini Gupta, Zafar Iqbal Shaheen, Abdul Bari, SalimJavid, Akhter Rasool Dar, Neha Bhagat, Mohd Hussain and Hasrat Parvaiz.
Deputation to Anti-Corruption Bureau
In addition, the government ordered deputation of officers to the Anti-Corruption Bureau including Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Sanjay Kohli, Anil Mangotra, Anil Saini, Mansoor Ahmad, Vikram Singh Parihar, Joginder Lal, Umer Mansoor, Munahir Mohi-ud-Din, Ravinder Kumar, Munish Kumar, Yuraj Singh, Shaista Zahoor, Omaid Majid Bhat, Darshan Singh, Hari Singh and Altaf Wahid Mangnoo.
The order was issued by Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Chandraker Bharti, stating that the transfers were made in the interest of administration and shall take effect immediately.
