104 officers appointed as Public Prosecutors

Jammu, Apr 1: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday appointed 104 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Prosecution Service as Public Prosecutors (PPs), Additional Public Prosecutors (APPs) and Assistant Public Prosecutors (Asst PPs) for various courts across the Union Territory.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the appointments were made for conducting criminal cases in designated courts.
Public Prosecutors (PPs)
Among those appointed as Public Prosecutors include Surinder Kumar, Manzar Khayam, Rajesh Sharma, Hemanshu Prakash, Shafat Ahmad Bhat, Najeeb Hussain Nahvi, Ajaz Ahmad Najar, Mohd Amir Almansoor, Syed Sareer Ahmad, Temoor Jahangir Khan, Bandhana Jamwal, Ab Rashid Mugloo, Suhaib Ashraf Allaqaband, Hilal Ahmad Bhat, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Pankaj Sethi, Farooq Ahmad Shagoo, Anshuman Dubey, Rakesh Sambyal and Prithipal Singh.
Additional Public Prosecutors (APPs)
Those appointed as Additional Public Prosecutors include Zia-ur-Rahman, Riaz Ahmad Dar, Anuj Gupta, Ajay Dogra, Jaswant Raj, Khursheed Ahmad Setari, Fayaz Ahmad Shalbaf, Kuldeep Kumar Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, Zain-ul-Abdin Munshi, Shafqat Murtaza, Ajaz Ahmad Parveez, Iftikhar-ul-Hassan Malik, Qazi Abid Ali, Basher Ahmad Bhat, Jaipal Singh, Arvind Rathod, Riyaz Ahmad, Raj Kumar-I, Sunil Kumar, Sarfraz Ahmad, Raj Kumar-II, Sheikh Bilal Mohi-ud-Din, Syed Anwar Ahmad, Abdul Aziz Zaindari, Muzamil Rashid, Waseem Ahmad Shah, Arif Majeed Ramshoo, Abdul Rashid Dar, Najam-ul-Nisa and Gurpreet Kour.

Appointments as Assistant Public Prosecutors include Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Syeed Qureshi, Pawanpreet Singh, Ankush Gupta, Mirza Zahid Khalil, Mir Junaid Ahmad, Nadish Yousuf, Jaasir Ashraf Mir, Ritu, Mohammad YaseenNajar, Javid Manzoor Sheikh, Rohit Kumar Tidyal, Bilal Ahmad Lone, Vinay Kumar, Khalid Mushtaq, Sheikh Naseer Ahmad, Ishtiyaq Rashid Wani, Syed Nadeem Hussain, Mohammad Iqbal Rather, Wasiq Umer, AmitAbrol, Kanav Kumar, Tarush Kumar Oberoi, Arti Devi, Prabjoot Kour, Sabeel Kawoosa, Akshita Bharti, Nitesh Sharma, John Mohammad Wani, Asifa Rashid Mir, Romisa Raool, Abhin-andan Salgotra, Deepak Sharma, Avi-nash Mahajan, Mohammad Salauddin, Shikha Jamwal, Vishal Khajuria, Kalyan Singh, Uttam Vikas, Gitanjali Bhagat, Sourab Sarangal, Mumtaz Ahmad, Shahbaz Raza, Amit Birdi, Mohd Shazad, Sheetal Razdan, Bandhana Sharma, Sudershan Sharma, Pallavi Bakshi, Muzamil Jan, Yawar Firdous and Rahul Sharma.
The appointments cover a wide range of courts including Principal Sessions Courts, Additional Sessions Courts, Fast Track Courts, NDPS Courts, NIA Courts, UAPA Courts, and various magistrate courts across Jammu and Kashmir.
The notification was issued by Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Chandraker Bharti, stating that the appointments shall take effect immediately.
