JAMMU, May 12: 23-year-old found dead in Jammu hotel room; police launch probe
A 23-year-old man was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in the old city area of Jammu, police said on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Riaz Ahmed, a resident of Doda.
According to police, Ahmed was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside a hotel room in the Hari Market area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station City.
"The body has been shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for postmortem, and investigation has been taken up," police said.
Officials added that no suicide note or any incriminating material was recovered from the room during the initial investigation.
