GCW Gandhinagar organises Wall Painting Activity under NMBA 100 Days IEC Campaign

JAMMU, Jun 3: As part of the ongoing 100 Day Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), a wall painting activity was organized at Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhinagar, with the active participation of NCC cadets from 1 JK Naval Unit NCC and 9 JK Girls Battalion NCC, Srinagar.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour, who appreciated the efforts of the cadets and emphasized the role of youth in spreading awareness against substance abuse. In her message, she highlighted that wall art serves as a powerful medium to educate society about the harmful effects of drugs and inspire collective action towards prevention and rehabilitation. She encouraged students to become ambassadors of a drug-free society and actively contribute to the mission of Nasha Mukt Bharat.
As many as 50 NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the activity under the supervision of ANO Dr. Rachna Devi of 1 JK Naval Unit, GCW Gandhinagar. Through creative wall paintings, the cadets depicted impactful messages promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
The activity was conducted in the presence of Prof. Surinder Singh Parihar, Head, Department of History and Dr Renu Anand HOD mathematics of GCW Gandhinagar.
