PTTI Vijaypur holds awareness lecture on cyber security and fraud prevention

JAMMU, Jun 3: The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur, organised an awareness lecture on "Cyber Security and Fraud Prevention" for its staff and BRTC trainees of SDRF and Telecommunication on Wednesday.
Assistant Engineer Vikas Rajdhan of SIA Jammu attended the programme as the chief guest and delivered a comprehensive lecture on cyber security, cyber-related offences, digital devices, cyber tools and preventive measures against digital payment frauds.
During the session, he highlighted the growing challenges posed by cybercrime and stressed the importance of cyber awareness, safe digital practices and the responsible use of technology. He also educated participants about common online frauds and methods to safeguard personal and financial information.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal PTTI Vijaypur, IPS officer Ranjit Singh Sambyal, thanked the guest speaker for interacting with the staff and trainees and sharing valuable insights on emerging cyber threats.
He said the objective of the programme was to enhance awareness among police personnel about evolving cybercrime techniques, digital frauds and the latest trends in cyber offences.
Sambyal emphasized that such awareness initiatives are essential for strengthening the professional capabilities of police personnel and equipping them to effectively tackle cyber-related crimes in an increasingly digital environment.
Among those present were DySP (Indoor) Satish Kumar, DySP (Adminis-tration /Outdoor) Khushwant Singh, Senior Probationary Officers Neha Bhagat and Asif Iqbal, and DySP Sonali Kohli.
