Block Diwas held at Dharat village in Nowshera

JAMMU, Jun 3: A Block Diwas programme was organised at Dharat village in Nowshera tehsil on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Additi-onal Deputy Commissi-oner (ADC) Nowshera, Dr Pritam Lal Thapa.
The public outreach programme witnessed participation from officers of various line departments, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives, local residents and prominent citizens of the area. During the event, the ADC interacted with residents and listened to their grievances and demands related to basic amenities and developmental works. Issues raised by the public mainly pertained to road connectivity, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare services, revenue matters and implementation of welfare schemes.
Dr Thapa assured the participants that all genuine demands and grievances would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely redressal.
He directed officers to work in close coordination and ensure prompt resolution of public issues while maintaining regular interaction with people at the grassroots level. The ADC also reviewed the implementation of various government welfare schemes and developmental projects in the area and stressed the need for effective delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
