RAJOURI, Jun 4: A workshop on Mission YUVA was organised at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Nowshera, to review and strengthen the implementation of the youth entrepreneurship initiative in the area.
The workshop was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nowshera, and was attended by Yuva Doots, Motivators and other stakeholders associated with the programme.
During the session, participants were briefed on the effective implementation of the baseline survey and various aspects of beneficiary mobilisation and application processing.
The Yuva Doots and Motivators were guided on self-help group (SHG) application procedures, creating awareness about OTP-based verification, post-sanction formalities, ONDC registration and handling field-level indicators. They were also advised to discourage saturated trades such as grocery stores and shuttering works and instead encourage diversification of livelihood and business activities.
The officers stressed the need to maintain the authenticity and genuineness of applications and ensure a minimum 10 per cent contribution from beneficiaries in eligible cases.
Participants were instructed to refer cases involving discrepancies or procedural issues to the BHD team for necessary support and resolution.
The meeting also reviewed area-wise loan limits and emphasised increasing the number of applications under the scheme.
It was decided that Yuva Doots would coordinate in advance regarding venues and schedules for future awareness and registration camps. The administration assured full support and preparedness for the successful conduct of such programmes.
