Police conducts searches at 23 locations linked to JKNOPs in Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Jul 10: Police on Friday conducted searches at 23 locations linked to JKNOPs in the Kunzer area of Baramulla district as part of ongoing efforts to maintain public order and strengthen the security grid.
According to a police statement, the searches were carried out at the residences of 23 JKNOPs, their family members, associated premises and the houses of their close associates falling within the jurisdiction of Police Station Kunzer.
Police said the operation was aimed at ascertaining recent developments, identifying possible communication with handlers across the border, collecting evidence relevant to ongoing investigations and assessing activities that could pose a threat to the security of the area.
During the searches, a few electronic devices, including mobile phones, were seized for technical examination and forensic analysis.
The searches were conducted in accordance with the law in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses to ensure transparency and adherence to due legal procedure.
