Shopian delegation calls on LG, raises implementation of Forest Rights Act

SRINAGAR, Jul 13: A public delegation from Shopian, led by MLA Adv. Shabir Ahmad Kullay, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday and raised issues concerning the implementation of the Forest Rights Act and other matters of public importance.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Lieutenant Governor of various public issues, with particular emphasis on the effective implementation of the Forest Rights Act in the district.
The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that the issues raised would be examined for appropriate action, an official communiqué said.
