41 Executive Engineers shifted in major PWD reshuffle

JAMMU, Jul 16: The Gove-rnment on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle in the Public Works (R&B) Depart-ment, transferring and posting 41 In-charge Executive Engineers (Civil) in the interest of administration.
According to Government Order No. 260-PW(R&B) of 2026 dated July 16, 2026, issued by the Public Works (R&B) Department, the transfers involve officers awaiting adjustment as Executive Engineers as well as those already heading various divisions across Jammu and Kashmir.
Among the prominent postings, Er. Akhter Hussain Shah has been posted as In-charge Executive Engineer, PMGSY Division Ramban, Er. Sumit Kotwal as In-charge Executive Engineer, Police Housing Corporation, and Er. Amit Abrol as In-charge Executive Engineer, PMGSY Division Reasi. Er. Naveen Gupta has been posted as Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Division East Jammu and will continue to hold the additional charge of JK Sports Council, Jammu.
The order also posts Er. Irfan Ahmad Miskeen as In-charge Executive Engineer, DIQC, Er. Raman Sumbria as In-charge Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Project Division-I Jammu, Er. Zareena Tabussum as In-charge Executive Engineer, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and Er. Zia Rehman Qazi as In-charge Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Division Pulwama.
Several officers have been transferred to key field divisions across Kashmir, including Poonch, Kulgam, Pahalgam, Tangmarg, Kupwara, Handwara, Zainpora and Lolab, while others have been posted in Jammu Municipal Corporation, Srinagar Development Authority, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K Housing Board, JK Sports Council and Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
The government also assigned additional responsibilities to certain officers. Er. Altaf Hussain Lone will hold the additional charge of Executive Engineer, PMGSY Division Kupwara, Er. Farooq Ahmad Shah will additionally look after PWD (R&B) Division Langate, Er. Zahoor Ahmad will hold the charge of PWD (R&B) Division Tangdar until further orders, while Er. Neeraj Gupta has been given the additional charge of PWD (R&B) Division Reasi.
The order was issued by Anil Kumar Singh (IAS), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department, and takes immediate effect. Copies have been forwarded to all concerned administrative departments and officers for compliance.
