PM SHRI KV Sunjuwan holds investiture ceremony

Jammu, Jul 18: PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sunjuwan on Saturday organised its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27, formally installing the newly elected Student Council and reaffirming the institution's commitment to nurturing leadership, responsibility and democratic values among students.
S.C. Khajuria, retired Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and was welcomed by the Principal, staff members and students.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana and the Vidyalaya Prayer.
During the ceremony, the newly elected School Captain, Vice-Captain, House Captains, House Vice-Captains, Sports Captain, Sports Vice-Captain and members of the Prefectorial Board were formally invested with badges and sashes, symbolising their responsibilities as student leaders.
The Principal administered the oath of office to the newly elected student leaders, who pledged to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, dedication and selfless service while discharging their responsibilities with sincerity and commitment.
Addressing the gathering, Khajuria congratulated the young leaders and urged them to lead by example. He said leadership was founded on honesty, discipline, teamwork and service to others.
He encouraged the students to uphold the ideals of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the vision of PM SHRI Schools by becoming responsible, confident and compassionate citizens.
The Principal also congratulated the newly elected council members and expressed confidence that they would discharge their duties with dedication and inspire fellow students through exemplary conduct.
The Principal appreciated the efforts of teachers, students and parents in successfully conducting the democratic election process and organising the investiture ceremony.
The programme was conducted by Tarun Kumar Singh, CLA Coordinator of the Vidyalaya.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
The event highlighted the school's focus on fostering leadership qualities, character building and holistic development among students.
