CDOE, University of Jammu organises blood donation camp

JAMMU, Jul 24: The NSS Unit-5 of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Young Blood Association (YBA), organised a blood donation camp on Friday to promote voluntary blood donation and social responsibility. The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director, CDOE, who highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and said such initiatives help inculcate compassion, community service and a sense of social responsibility among students.
Director, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Neha Jalali, who was the chief guest, appreciated the voluntary blood donors for their selfless contribution and lauded the joint efforts of CDOE and the Young Blood Association in organising the humanitarian initiative. Dr. Satwant Singh Rissam, President, Young Blood Association, described blood donation as one of the noblest forms of public service and appreciated the enthusiastic response from volunteers.
Chairman of the Young Blood Association, Anil Padha, also underscored the importance of voluntary blood donation and thanked all stakeholders for their support in making the camp successful.
Earlier, Dr. Rajbeer Singh Sodhi, Programme Officer, NSS Unit-5, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to the blood donors, volunteers, faculty members, non-teaching staff, organisers, media personnel and the medical team for their contribution to the event.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers, reflecting the spirit of humanitarian service and community engagement promoted by the University and the Young Blood Association.
