APS Nagrota holds investiture-cum-scholarship ceremony

Jammu, Jul 25: Army Public School (APS) Nag-rota organised its Investi-ture-cum-Scholarship Ceremony on Saturday, recognising student leadership and academic excellence and launching new initiatives aimed at holistic development.
Lt Gen Prasanna Kishore Mishra, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, 16 Corps and Senior Patron of APS Nagrota, attended the event as the chief guest, while Archana Mishra, Zonal President, White Knight AWWA, was the guest of honour.
Brig H.S. Billing, SM, Chairman, APS Nagrota, Poonam Rawat, Chairperson, Education Committee, AWWA, and parents of students were among those present.
The ceremony began with a welcome address by APS Nagrota Principal Ruchi Bahl.
The newly elected members of the Student Council were presented leadership badges by the chief guest. The students pledged to uphold the values of leadership, discipline, integrity and service.
Academic achievers were also felicitated during the ceremony. Archana Mishra presented scholarships of Rs. 10,000 each to the Class 10 and Class 12 toppers, while other meritorious students were awarded Rs. 5,000 each.
Lt Gen Mishra also inaugurated the school's new Computer Laboratory.
Four new student clubs - Entrepreneur Club, Golf Club, Shooting Club and Horse Riding Club - were formally launched on the occasion to provide students with opportunities beyond academics and promote their overall development.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by APS Nagrota Vice Principal Avinash Mahajan, who expressed gratitude to the guests, parents and staff for their participation in the event.
