‘Mann Ki Baat’ inspiring nation-building through public participation: Sat Sharma

JAMMU, Jul 26: The BJP Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday organised booth-level programmes across the Union Territory for party workers and people to listen to the 136th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme "Mann Ki Baat".
BJP J&K president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, along with MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa and former councillor Surjit Pappu Choudhary, attended the programme at Booth No. 124 in Ward No. 43 of the Bahu Assembly constituency.
BJP J&K General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul listened to the programme along with party workers and local residents at Booth No. 7 of Trikuta Nagar Mandal.
Mandal president Nitish Mahajan was also present.
Similar programmes were organised by BJP workers at booths across Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing party workers, Sat Sharma said "Mann Ki Baat" had evolved into a platform connecting the country's leadership with ordinary citizens and highlighting their contribution towards nation-building.
He said the programme showcases inspiring work in areas such as innovation, social service, environmental conservation, women empowerment, youth initiatives and preservation of culture.
Sharma said organising the programme at the booth level enables party workers and the public to collectively listen to and discuss the Prime Minister's message.
He said that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, governance had become increasingly people-centric, with public participation playing an important role in national campaigns.
Ashok Koul said the BJP organises "Mann Ki Baat" listening programmes among people as the Prime Minister's message was meant for every citizen.
He said booth-level programmes provide an opportunity for interaction with local communities, encourage constructive discussions and motivate people to contribute positively to society.
Koul said the programme's strength lay in recognising ordinary citizens doing extraordinary work and inspiring others to bring positive changes in their lives.
He said national development could be achieved through greater public participation and collective responsibility.
