Sant Nirankari Mission organises blood donation camp in Samba, 126 units collected

SAMBA, Aug 9: The Sant Nirankari Mission, Samba branch, organised a voluntary blood donation camp here with the participation of devotees from Samba, Rajpura and Ghagwal branches, collecting 126 units of blood.
The camp was organised with the blessings of Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and witnessed participation of devotees from different age groups.
The camp was inaugurated by Samba MLA Surjeet Singh Slathia, who appreciated the Sant Nirankari Mission for its continued efforts towards voluntary blood donation and humanitarian service.
Slathia said blood donation was a noble cause that helped provide timely support to patients, particularly during medical emergencies. He appreciated the Mission for organising such camps regularly and described its continued humanitarian service as a valuable contribution to society.
He also highlighted the message, "Dharam Jodta Hai, Todta Nahin", and said the teachings imparted during Satsang inspire individuals to become better human beings and contribute towards building a compassionate, harmonious and progressive society. Slathia assured his continued support to the Mission and its humanitarian initiatives.
K.C. Bhagat, Sanyojak, Samba, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the camp. Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge, Jammu, said the camp reflected the spirit of selfless service and compassion, with devotees coming forward to donate blood and contribute towards saving precious lives.He said the initiative reaffirmed the Sant Nirankari Mission's commitment to serving humanity and spreading the message of "Nar Sewa, Narayan Pooja".
Among those present were Dr. Urvershi Kotwal, Associate Professor and HOD; Dr. Sushant Menia, Associate Professor; and Major Sahil Gorka (Retd AMC), Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, AIIMS Jammu, besides Dr. Deepshikha from Blood Bank, GMC Jammu.
The camp was organised in collaboration with AIIMS Vijaypur, Government Medical College Jammu, District Hospital Samba and J&K AIDS Control Society (JKSACS).
