Randhawa initiates Rs 15.20 lakh lane, drain upgradation work in Jammu Cantonment

JAMMU, Sep 11: Bahu MLA Vikram Randhawa on Friday initiated upgradation work of lanes and drains in Wards 3 and 4 of the Jammu Cantonment Board at an estimated cost of Rs 15.20 lakh.
The project is aimed at improving drainage, road conditions and civic amenities in the area, addressing a long-pending demand of local residents.
The work was initiated in the presence of Jammu Cantonment Board CEO Nitesh Gupta, officials, the concerned contractor and local residents.
Randhawa said addre-ssing long-pending public demands and ensuring quality development at the grassroots level remained his priority.
He stressed that improved civic infrastructure was essential for the convenience, safety and well-being of residents.
He urged the concerned agencies to ensure timely completion of the work while maintaining quality standards and appreciated the Canton-ment Board and its CEO for their cooperation.
Local residents expressed gratitude to the MLA for taking up their demand and facilitating commencement of the development work.
