Young talent must be encouraged and nurtured: Arvind

JAMMU, Sep 26: Jammu West MLA Arvind Gupta today organised a Drawing and Painting Competition under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Rehari Colony, Jammu.
The programme formed part of the broader Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, being undertaken to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service, with a focus on service, public participation and engagement with different sections of society.
The programme was attended by Principal Jyoti Prakash, Programme In-charge Urvashi Gupta, Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, Mahila Prabhari Veenu Khanna, Anu Bali (Ex-Corporator), BJP Spokesperson Rajni Sethi, senior BJP leader Sanjeev Sharma, and District Programme In-charge Jatin Gupta, among others. Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said that encouraging creativity among children is an important investment in the development of confident and capable young citizens.
"Such initiatives provide our young minds with a meaningful platform to express their creativity, imagination and ideas. We must create more opportunities where children can showcase their abilities, build confidence and nurture their talents," Gupta said.
Gupta expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic participation of the students, appreciating their creativity, dedication and artistic expression. He said that extracurricular activities, alongside academics, play an important role in the holistic development of students.
The competition provided participating students an opportunity to express their thoughts and imagination through art, while also encouraging them to engage in a healthy and constructive activity.
Gupta also appreciated the efforts of the school administration and all those associated with organising the programme, stressing that community-oriented initiatives under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan should continue to engage young people and encourage their participation in nation-building activities.
