Secretary DLSA Jammu reviews performance of PLVs

JAMMU, Sep 29: The performance of the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of District Legal Services Authority Jammu, TLSCs of Jammu, Bishnah, Akhnoor and R.S. Pura was reviewed today here at a meeting at District Court Complex under the guidance of Tahir Khurshid Raina Principal District & Sessions Judge and DLSA Chairman.
The meeting was chaired by Civil Judge (Senior Division) and Secretary DLSA Maleeka Sharma.
During the meeting, the work-done reports of all the PLVs for the last three months were thoroughly reviewed and assessed. The PLVs were guided and motivated to work with more dedication and zeal in providing legal assistance to the marginalised sections of the society and for spreading legal awareness at the grassroots level.
Special emphasis was laid on the ongoing Mega Drive for Implementation of NALSA Schemes at the Grassroots Level (Phase-I), which is being undertaken at Sumah Village, Akhnoor. The PLVs deputed in Akhnoor were enquired about the progress of the campaign. Detailed information was sought regarding the number of awareness programmes conducted, door-to-door campaigns held and the number of beneficiaries identified and benefited under various NALSA Schemes. Maleeka Sharma impressed upon the PLVs to make extra efforts to ensure maximum outreach and to make the said campaign a grand success, so that the benefits of the NALSA Schemes reach to every eligible person in the identified village.
