Police transfers eight Inspectors to Anti-Corruption Bureau

SRINAGAR, Oct 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Police headquarters has transferred eight Inspectors from different wings to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle.
According to an order issued by the J&K Police headquarters on October 3 with the approval of the Director General of Police, Inspector Showkat Ahmad has been transferred from Kashmir Zone to the ACB, while Inspector Hilal Ahmad Parray has been moved from the Crime Investigation Department (CID).
Inspector Shahbaz Bashir has been transferred from Kashmir Zone, while Inspector Ibrar Ahmad Lone and Inspector Tahir Bashir Bhat have been moved from the CID to the ACB.
Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir has been transferred from Kashmir Zone, Inspector Rajinder Kumar from Jammu Zone and Inspector Pankaj Singh from the Crime wing to the ACB.
The order said the posts of Inspectors held by Ibrar Ahmad Lone and Tahir Bashir Bhat during the transfer would be restored to the Armed Zone with immediate effect.
The police headquarters also cancelled the transfers ordered through Order No. 1798 of June 16, 2026, in respect of eight Inspectors and issued fresh postings.
Under the revised orders, Inspector Vikas Sharma has been transferred from 4 JKAP to Armed Zone, Inspector Liyaqat Ali from CID to Kashmir Zone, Inspector Firdous Ahmed from Jammu Zone to CID and Inspector Kiran Kumar from CID to Jammu Zone.
Inspector Ankuj Kumar has been transferred from the Crime wing to Jammu Zone, Inspector Pawan Singh from Jammu Zone to PTTI Vijaypur, Inspector Arun Sharma from CID to Jammu Zone and Inspector Mashkoor Ahmed from the Crime wing to Traffic.
All the officers concerned have been directed to be relieved forthwith. The order stated that it was issued with the approval of the DGP.
